Cricut Cardz Challenge #68

Hi everyone!  It's time for another Cricut Cardz Challenge.  This week the challenge is to use a house cut from any cartridge, add some lace and a flourish.  I have had this house paper that I got at Big Lots for a while and I've been dying to use it.

I cut the house from Creat a Critter and the flourish from Give a Hoot.  The sentiment is from Scrappy Moms Stamps - Simple Sentiments.  I added some lavener crochet lace at the top...it kinda blends in a little. We can't wait to see what fun cards you come up with....click HERE to link up your project.

Happy Friday!

Hi everyone!  I wanted to show you a few projects I've been working on this week. My kids went back to school and I didn't have many design team project due so I've been busy working on some things for my ETSY shop.  The first one is this fun banner.

I used Birthday Bash for the banner panels and Create a Critter for the bee.  The banners on Birthday Bash go together so super fast so if you want to make one this is definitely the cartridge to use.  The holes are already cut for you and everything just lines up perfectly.

Here is another one....so easy!  I embossed the white layer on this one.  The pattern paper is from DCWV Blossoms and Butterflies.  It looks so much like Easter eggs to me.  The sentiment is from the new Scrappy Moms set - Spring Fling.

These are little treat bag toppers.  So quick and easy to make.  I used Just Because for the base and Simply Charmed for the little chick.  This striped paper is Martha Stewart.

This last project is not for the ETSY shop but something I just wanted to make.  I alway make fun, cheerful, bright cards and when I need a sympathy card, I don't have anything that seems appropriate.  I really had to think on this for quite a while but I am happy with how it turned out.
I used my new MS Elegant Cake art cartridge for the butterfly and the paper is actually from a Halloween stack.

Be sure to check in next week, I've got a lot of fun hops coming up and will be offering Blog Candy for each one.   Thanks for stopping by.

Terrific Tuesday Challenge - Smiley Cards & A Winner!

Hi everyone!  It's time for another Scrappy Moms Stamps - Terrific Tuesday Challenge.  This week we are using Smiling Cards.  If you don't have this cartridge, you can still play along...just use a similiar cut from another cart.

I cut the sun at 3".  The yellow paper is from a new pack by K and Company.  The blue mat is from Twinkle Toes at 4" (real size) and for the card base I welded two of the shapes together at 5" (real size).  The sentiment is from the Scrappy Moms set - Spring Fling.  I don't know when it happened, but I am apparently addicted to polka dots!  This paper is from DCWV- The Grade School Stack.  I can't help it...I am drawn to all these adorable papers...they make everything look so happy!
Be sure to play along with this fun challenge for a chance to win the Scrappy Moms set of your choice.

I found this cute little kraft gift box at Dollar Tree around Valentine's Day.  I added some matching paper and a giant brown bow.  I think it looks pretty cute and it was super simple to make.

Flaunt it Friday and Scrappy Moms Sneak Peak #2

It's time for another Flaunit It Friday's challenge.   Our challenge this week is to use any cut from Twinkle Toes.  This cartridge works perfectly with the new Scrappy Moms Stamps set - Kids Incorporated.  Melanie and Tammy have just released two new sets and they are so cute!

I cut my little dancer at 4-1/2"h....that was probably a little too big.  If I had to make this card over, I would cut her at about 3.75".  For my card base I welded two Oval shapes from Lacy Labels.  The sentiment is from the new Scrappy Moms set - Kid's Incorporated.  Both of the new sets are available for order now...so head on over to Scrappy Moms to place your order.   You can find links to all the Design Team members on my side bar...be sure to check out their Sneak Peeks.  We can wait to see what you make with Twinkle Toes...click here to head on over to Flaunt It Fridays to link up you project!

New Scrappy Moms Stamps!

Scrappy Moms Stamps has two new stamps sets - Kids Incorporated and Spring Fling.  I am so excited about these stamps....the sentiments are all adorable!

For my first Sneak Peek, I decided to use Kids Incorporated.  I just love reading my kids "Guess How Much I Love You" so I picked the sentiment "I love you to the Moon and back!".

My card base is 5" x 5" and I used Lacy Labels for the two background shapes.  The striped one is cut at 4.75 and the white one at 3.75 (relative true size).  I cut the little moon from Create A Critter at 3"h.   The Scrappy Moms Design Team will have Sneak Peeks with these two sets all week....you can find links to all their blogs on my side bar.  Click here to hop on over to Scrappy Moms Stamps to place your order!

Cricut Cardz Challenge - Bookmark

Hi everyone!  It's time for another Cricut Cardz Challenge.  This week we are doing something a little different.  In honor of Dr. Seuss' birthday  and Read Across America week, our challenge is to make a bookmark.  My 8 year old twins are totally into reading right now...my son just finished the Harry Potter series and my daughter just got done with the Percy Jackson series. They are always asking me to make them bookmarks so I had fun with this one.

I cut the crocodile from Create a Critter at 7"w and then cut the purple rectangle at 3" x 8" and the plaid paper at 2-3/4 x 7-3/4.  The sentiment is from Scrappy Moms Stamps- Amusing Animals set.   This is a really simple bookmark to make but I love the way it turned out.  Click here to head on over to Cricut Cardz Challenge to link up your project.  I can't wait to see what you come up with!
